Wellington Botanical Garden [raya edition]
|
|
Right after we'd finished our exam, the BEdTESOLers group held a photo session at the uni to be sent to the newspaper for raya dedication. And it was not even Ramadhan yet!
Then, the four of us, being a lil bit insane, went up to Wellington Botanical Garden and explored it in our baju kurung and kebaya~!!

This is one of the annual and biggest events of WMSO. The event is a great opportunity for Malaysian students and those who live around Wellington to gather and meet new people, as well as enjoying the shows that WMSO had put on. This year it was held at Duxton Hotel's Ballroom. The hall was superb and I bet everyone loved it too.
As for the TESL group, we were involved in the performances too. We managed to impress people with our Chinese line dance (i think so! hehe!). Besides that, I joined the WMSO Malay dance as well. It was one truly great experience for all of us. I must admit that everyone seemed to be enjoying the event very much.

BTN in Rotorua 06-09 September 2005
|
|
Salam to all.. Well, these are the pictures taken during our BTN in Rotorua. Just when we thought that we could escape from any of the camps, we were told that we were ultimately wrong! However, I dare say that this was the best BTN ever! Our facilitators were 'imported' directly from Malaysia and we spent about 4 days and 3 nites 'berkampung' at Kingsgate Hotel.. which is one of the best hotels here! Good gracious!
I'm glad that we got the chance to meet our friends from Auckland as well! It was like a reunion for all of us hehe..

Holla.. Today we all joined Wellington Malaysian Students Association (WMSO) activities - paintball and bowling.. (paintball in Grenada North and bowling in Petone) It was truly exciting! However, we really suffered from playing paintball (or is it 'pain'ball huhuhu) as we got bruises at almost every part of the bodies. Apart from the sufferings, we all had a great deal of fun and even continued to have a picnic in Porirua and play bowling later on.. Cheers~

It was the holidays again, and I was so so glad (and relief!). I had been working very hard before this and I really deserved a break. And guess what? We (together with Muslim Students of Victoria University of Wellington - MSVUW) went for a 3-days-2 nights trip in Ohakune and went for skiing at Mount Ruapehu. My friends and I took this chance to try snowboarding instead of skiing, and believe me, it was super-duper fun! And we want more!

From Dunedin, we came all the way to Queenstown - a place which is famous for extreme sports such as bungy jumping, white-water rafting, parachuting, skiing, snowboarding and the list goes on. It is indeed one truly wonderful city as it is surrounded by snow-capped mountains and Lake Wakatipu.
